Description
On Naked Rage Ian has recorded four songs stripped down to the bare essentials, just voice and guitar. There are no overdubs and the production is intended to be as close as possible to hearing an ‘in-concert’ performance.
The opening track Dead Sea Captain was written a while ago but gets a public hearing for the first time. It was inspired by the story of a canal boat captain who took his unwilling passengers out to sea in a boat never intended for those conditions.
The remaining three songs (One-Eyed King, Eagle-Vulture and Sweet Souvenir) come from 2018’s All The Rage album where they were performed by Ian’s band and produced by Jimbo Mathus. On this EP the songs are naked and unadorned, the way they were born.
