In Guitarist magazine (issue 359) the editor, Mick Taylor, reviews CROSSING THE LINE giving it four stars (out of a maximum five) and saying:

McBride steps up big-time with his third studio album. The PRS-toting Irishman’s approach to Crossing The Line feels newly confident, going beyond the sum of his influences to create a unique take on post-70s Brit rock and slamming Moore-tinged blues…

McBride’s playing is technically, melodically and tonally beyond reproach here. He’s clearly got a massive bag of tricks, but doesn’t feel compelled to get them all out, all the time. Rockin’ and tasteful: imagine that!
