WHO, WHAT, WHERE…

There’s lots happening with Nugene artists in Feb/March -

First off, T-99 hit Germany for some dates in support of the release of the Vagabonds CD in that country: 25/2 Clubkeller, Frankfurt; 26/2 White Trash, Berlin; 27/2 Atomino, Chemnitz; 28/2 Kantine, Augsburg; 01/3 Zwöfzehn, Stuttgart. Press and radio response to the album has been outstanding.

IAN SIEGAL is in rehearsals in Paris with the Orchestre National De Jazz for the Broadway in Satin show. There's more information at the ONJ web site - www.onj.org/fr/programmes/i6-broadway-in-satin

The first show is a recording at Radio France in Paris on March 1; then the show can be seen at the Festival Banlieues Bleues in Saint Ouen (7/3) and Festival Musique De Jazz et D’allieurs in Amiens (27/3). Keep an eye on Ian’s web site for other dates.

LILLIAN BOUTTE with the DENNY ILETT BAND has a live session broadcasting on BBC Radio 2 Paul Jones show on Monday, 9 March ahead of a short run of UK dates, which starts at the 606 Club in London that same evening and finishes with a Sunday afternoon show at the Half Moon in Bishop’s Stortford. MATT SCHOFIELD and his new band will be in Holland March 6 Amstelveen (P60), March 7 Leerdam (Blues 89), and March 8 Osterhout (Café Oud Brabant). March 26 has the band recording in the morning for the BBC at the historic Maida Vale studios and then playing the 100 Club in the evening of March 26 and again at the Globe in Topsham, Exeter on March 28.

For all of you eager to hear Matt’s new album there will be a world exclusive preview on the BBC on Monday, March 23. Tune into the Paul Jones Show BBC R2 at 7pm (remember that’s UK time!). You can hear the show on-line via the BBC web site for up to seven days after the broadcast.

Finally, SIMON MCBRIDE and his band will be playing in the HMV store in Belfast on March 7th (1.30pm). They then play the Festival du Blues Autour du Zinc in Beauvais, France, on 13 and 14 March. Simon will be in London April 22 when he will be opening solo for the Derek Trucks Band at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Simon is now represented in Holland by MOJO Concerts (Live Nation). Watch this space for news of some major festival appearances.
