MATT SCHOFIELD

Matt Schofield’s latest CD “Ear To The Ground” is now out in the UK/Europe. A live session recorded for the BBC at the legendary Maida Vale Studios airs on Monday June 4th (7pm, BBC radio 2). To hear it via the web (live, or for up to 7 days later) go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/jones

The CD is an HMV “Choice” and will shortly be racked through all their stores in the UK. It is already a featured pick in several continental European retailer chains.

The assault on the North American market starts June 19, when the CD releases in the USA and Canada. Blues Revue, the worlds premiere Blues magazine, features Matt in their next issue - out at the end of June (cover date Aug/Sept). A writer for Blues Revue spent a day at the studios with Matt during the recording of the new album.

Extensive airplay is expected in the US. Matt’s previous album was No.1 on several station charts including XM Satellite Radio’s Bluesville (which BB King quotes as his favourite place for hearing new blues).

IAN SIEGAL

A one-hour live recording (and interview) will air on BBC Radio Suffolk 6-7pm on Monday 28th May. To hear it via the web, go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/suffolk

Ian’s new album “Swagger” presses shortly and will have a street release date towards the end of August. We will let you know when you can get it from the Nugene web site ahead of time.

In the meantime you can catch Ian at some intimate UK festivals in June (with Matt Schofield as a special guest at the Linton Festival, June 23), and our friends in Hungary have the pleasure of Ian’s company July 6-10.

JOHNNY MASTRO & MAMA’S BOYS

The bands first visit to the UK was a resounding success, with audiences at the Burnley National Blues Festival raving about the guys’ performance. Those fortunate enough to be at 100 Club double bill with the Ian Siegal Band were treated to an outstanding show.
